Once your order is placed, you will receive either an email from us to confirm the details about your artwork, or the proof of your custom artwork within 24 hours.

Oftentimes, orders process faster than that but we can’t guarantee a faster processing time.

Please check a listing carefully to understand its own processing time. Although you will receive the proof of the artwork in same turnaround time, each product has its own unique processing time.

The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the nature of your product(s) being custom made orders.

Please also note that looking up the translation of your desired name or word on search engine or translation software might give you a different result from the translation that is made by the artist of My Japanese Name Plus. This is because there are often multiple ways to translate the word into another language. Japanese words and names featured in artwork by My Japanese Name Plus are originally hand brushed, which will look very different from fonts featured in online search.

Care for your new product(s) by:

* Dusting when necessary

* If your product is digital product, please take appropriate measure to secure your files from hackers.

Your product(s) can be damaged if:

* Left out in the sun

* Washed with liquid or chemical

* Too much pressure is applied

Size chart (if applicable)

All digital files are made and sent in 16” x 20” size. If you would like to request a different size, please notify me at the time of purchase or prior to purchase.

All frame sizes are for the size of the final frame, and not the artwork. Because most of our framed artwork contain mat, the artwork itself is smaller than the final frame size.

SELECTING KATAKANA, HIRAGANA, OR KANJI

Names can be written in katakana, hiragana, or kanji, however, formally speaking, foreign names, except for Chinese or Korean names are written in katakana in Japanese language. We can tell you that names that are not Japanese, Korean, or Chinese are meant to be written in katakana format in Japanese, but we are not able to tell or guarantee which one of these three you or your gift recipient will love the most.  Please select your desired format at the time of purchase. If you device you would like to change the format, or request additional format, please email me at info – at – myjapanesenameplus.com before your order is processed into a physical product. Additional format (or changing of the format) is available for purchase.

Our company ships through USPS. 

International shipping 

We currently do not ship intentionally, however, international shoppers can still enjoy our digital artwork. 

My Japanese Name Plus is not responsible for duty or brokerage fees for international shipping. 

These charges come from your country during importation of your package.

Cost calculations

We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order. 

* We offer free shipping within U.S. on all orders.

Timeline

Selecting expedited shipping during checkout does not ensure a faster processing time. Your product may still need between 1 to 30 business days (please refer to the listing page for the specific processing time) to be handmade.

RETURNS

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective. 

Additional non-returnable items:

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted: (if applicable)

* Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

* Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Return and Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info – at – myjapanesenameplus.com for return and exchange instruction.

Shipping

To return your product, please email us at info – at – myjapanesenameplus.com for return instruction.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

It is advised to consider using a trackable shipping service and to purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
