Which format should I choose? (Kanji, katakana, or hiragana)

Each person learning Japanese language has his or her own preference on his or her favorite format.
I can not tell which format your gift recipient will love the most, but generally speaking, I recommend katakana format since that is the format Japanese people would use to write this name in Japanese language.
